Chronoswiss Launches The Extraordinary Timemaster Split Second Chronograph

Chronograph Rattranpante watch

Twenty years ago, Chronoswiss launched the classic Chronograph Rattranpante watch. In this year, the brand once again creates the legend and introduces the Timemaster Split Second chronograph. This new watch’s design inspiration comes from the motorsport; it focuses on the dynamic and elegant style. The 55 pieces limited edition shows its extraordinary value.

The watch has the same character as the high precision chronograph. It can calculate two independent time programs. With its handmade markers and hands, the watch can accurately indicate 1/4 second and even 1/8 second. It beats 28,800 times per hour, which means that the second hand can jump 8 steps per second. This watch is Chronoswiss’s first 1/8 second chronograph.

Chronoswiss manages the chronograph technology, and once again it shows its technology level of creating mechanical watch. Actually, the production of chronograph is difficult. But adding the Rattranpante function to the chronograph is more difficult. In 1992, the brand launched the Chronograph Rattrapante watch; at that time, it had developed the column wheel and dual-clamp, and got the pattern. The patterned Rattrapante technique had contribute a lot to the creation of Timemaster Split Second chronograph.

The new watch has lots of functions, its structure is clear. It features rose gold case with rose gold button. It came in pure dial with gold coating hand. Besides, it has the stainless steel bezel and chronograph button. In addition, the color black put well together with the rose gold. All of these show the noble quality of the watch.

The motorsport is one of Timemaster Split Second chronograph’s design inspirations. Gerd-Rüdiger Lang, the founder of Chronoswiss, had acted as the timer of motor race in the 80s century. His experience has a significant impact on studying watchmaking crafts. As he loves researching the chronograph technology, he gets the reputation of “Mr. Chronograph”.
